After tear down Mini Racer, I'm building an inverted coaster in the style Vekoma. I've made a new car design, that is also in vekoma style.

For as far as I know, SLC's do not have pre-lift drops.

Looks really good though, and love that cars!

Not at the moment. There's just a few different models of them, either standard, extended, Shenlin and a few customs. Fly the Great Nor'Easter seems to have a slight pre-lift part, lol. :)

Nice job here, Gijs. I'll check this thread more often.

Creative use of XenoX supports (tube alternative based on Pinfari). I wonder if anyone can manage to get this chainguide to work.

I think this coaster will have a small pre-lift section.

The lift is working with a chain.

I've some problems with the chainguide. I'll try some things, bus I'm not sure I get it to work.

I really like the supports! :D

I think they're nice too.

Rotate the whole gearbox 90 degrees (red gears towards the lift) so that the red drive gear pair gets to hook onto the chain with a firmer grip

You beat me to it, and yes, FTGNE is I guess you could say an exception to that "strange prelift" rule, but I will tell you that the prelift is a bit strange, a slight drop to a curve, then a 10-15 ft straight section to the lift, similar to what he has. (I know this because front row gives you a great view.)

Overall I like what you have so far, especially with your cars. Are you going to enter them into the Summer Heat contest for the Car Modifications? Btw, the gear box really reminds me of the one on Talon at DP for some reason.

A nice piece consuming base as well, I'm very familiar with those...

I have had a little experience with inverted chain guides, they always seem to make the chain stop. Try lubricating the chain guide and scaling down the motor for more torque.

If only I had more space/pieces/time.

I've tried everything you said but nothing works. I think it is because of the heavy trains.

A small update today, because I want to know if the shaping is right.

i think it could use some more banking. try to get banking start early in the drop
and i think it is a little bit too sharp at the second support the drop.
sorry, i cant help with the lift.i suck at making lifts :P

I think that drop needs more banking. Also, Sorry about the lift. It seems that no one is able to make an inverted chain guide.
