Looking super cool already, and all you have is a super long launch and parts of track! I must ask, where are you finding the statistics of the length and height of each element of the ride?

Sorry to ask, but I always had the impression the launch of Formulla Rossa is slightly uphill.

Yes, you're right Floris. Watch this: Formula Rossa (Ferrari World Abu Dhabi)
This coaster is the officially the smoothest rollercoaster in the world, I know you can do so for a Knex rollercoaster! :D:D:D

This is only for transport, we will make it go slightly uphill when the launch is at Koen's house ;)

A drill could reset that launch in a few seconds, rather than a minute using SS motors. Just so you know :)

Maybe you guys will use tubes for this? I highly doubt it, but that would be pretty cool.

Good luck, shouldn't be too hard though, relatively short layout...

I always thought that this was one of the biggest/fastest coasters in the world.
EDIT: And I stand correct. The RCDB says that it's 6561 feet and 8 inches long. Thats f-ing huge.

Just seeing this now, I shall now quote myself replacing bad words with the way chat does it.

He's &%$#ing crazy. I don't know how the hell he's going to make this, let alone get a fast enough and long enough launch in order to not need boosters later on.

;)

I'll tell you right now, that launch should be possibly x1.5 of what you have now just to be safe.

You know we live in the Netherlands, not in the US with those huge gardens. My garden is i.m.o. pretty big, 17 meters wide. Still need to subtract a garden house and a house for our bunny, so this will already be pretty big.

Well, to get over the top of the hill, you will need a certain velocity at the end of the launch.
The velocity depends on the force applied on the train and the length of the launch. If one can't be altered, the other has.

That's just 33"4' shorter than Millennium Force. Yeah, it's huge. Which means you better pull it off. :D

Well after 3 hours of waiting for the test video to upload, we can tell you that it is uploaded now :) We've made most of the first hill, and we really like the result, we still need to make the top of the hill a bit higher then you'll see on the pictures, and we need to add more supports at the top of the hill and add a bit of backbone. Please watch the pictures and the testrun and enjoy!

Was that a drill launch, or some kind of rubber band/surgical tubing? Sorry, can't remember XD
