GADV 2005...What will it be?

within a two-hour drive to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey. The
coaster craze has already started to spread for all the parks across the nation with
everyone talking about coasters, thrill rides, rumors, ect. Great Adventure is one of
those parks, but instead of rumors, it is known that we are getting a coaster next year.
A Jackson Township meeting on Monday June 7 will decide it all since acording to to this document, Six Flags is looking to seek permission for a
roller coaster in 2005. But the big question still remains, what will it be?
In
1998, B&M signed a contract to add four attractions to Six Flags Great
Adventure every other year. Medusa was in 99', Nitro in 01', Superman in
03', and that makes 05' the final year. We already have a flying, hyper,
floorless, and inverted from B&M, and there are not many other choices left.
There is only a few like the B&M dive machine and the stand-up. But there is
one more, the rumored 4-D from B&M could possibly be that coaster in
05'. Monday hopefully will give way to more news about this. Only time will
tell.

going to but i was hoping some would eventually.
Was there actually a an
4 coaster contract or is that just the rumor? Hey, If its true i wouldnt mind.
But for 2005 its hard to say what i would like. A stand up would be nice but its
really to simalar to medusa and batman IMO, plus stand ups a pretty much dead now,
but they could make a come back. Dive machines are making a comeback now since
BGT is getting one, but i cant honstly say id want one, considering how short they are.
Plus the GP already think nitro goes straight down so it wouldnt impress many people.
The 4d id love to have just becasue its unique and something the world has yet to have
seen, not very likley thhough (then again neither was a hydro launch with inversions
and a DM for bgt).
The other thing we lack is a good wooden. RT is
great, but id love a nice long one. Maybe 2005 will be a the introduction of
B&Ms first wooden?
If the 4 year contract isnt 100% true then id
really like an impulse or a deja vu, but that unlikely considering the lack of power for
chiller and the constant break downs of the deja vu.
It should be
interesting, i guess we'll know more after the meeting on monday.

an hour from the park I don't want a DM or any other small coaster considering
S:UF was a huge dissapointment for me.
A wooden for me would be
great. A GCI or Intamin woody would be best since IMO they make the smothest
woddie's out there. RT sucks now I come off everytime with a migrane.
A 4-D would be awsome from B+M (Slightly unlikely though) I've been
on X which was amazing, but it was a tad bit on the bumpy side. Considering the
difference between Arrow's and B+M's smoothness, a 4-D would be
great. If they do announce this, hopefully a faster loading time would happen since
X's loading time is around the 3 to 5 mins.

Maybe a
Dive Machine but extened like BGTs is gonna be.

think ive come up with a good prediction....
Well first off, we do odvously
know the coaster will be 2480ft in length and go next to RT. This pretty much tells us
we can elliminate the stand up (too short of lenght for one) the wooden (a wooden
next to a wooden?) and the 4d (could be one, but not likely.). The B&M dive
machine is still a possibility.
Now as of now the biggest rumor out there is
a record breaking intamin rocket coaster that wil beat ttd. I have ot say i find this very
hard to accept. This is coming off of gadv.com and what supprised me was before
the meeting everyone thought they knew we had a 4 coaster contract with B&M,
but right after they dropped that idea and turned it into something they really want.
Let me tell why i dont agree with this and my theory....
I honestly think it
will be a new improved S&S ta2k. In 01, gadv ofcoarse got nitro which was a
major addition ot the park because the GP loved it. They love the drop and the speed.
Now in 03 we got Superman UF. this got the GP very excited because in their minds
it would be better than nitro. So after they wait 3 hours they come off and are
extremilly dissipointed. This left superman not being as good addition as it was
supposed to be. Now in 05, its no secret that gadv will try to do something the GP will
love as much as nitro. How? Well, the pretty much new fad now is launched
coasters. Gadv already has 2 (both sides of Chiller), but because of the amount of
energy their LIMs eat up, a new LIM of hydraulic launched coaster because of how
much power chiller already uses. If only there was a launch that required very little
power but could be effective. O wait, there is! Compressed Air!!
PKD in 2001 could afford ot get another launch coaster after haveing 2 LIMs already
because of how much litle energy the compressed air needs. So this pretty much
states that if gadv want to go for a launch, compressed air might be the best and only
way to do it. In result, theyll get a fun, fast , and trillingride the gp will love and can
still have enough power for chiller.
Now S&S has also been hinting
very much so about beating ttd in the near future. this is true at the end of This
Article and at the end of This Video. So to do this S&S would be needing park
willing to go along with them to do. Six Flags! Now odviously to make a recrd
breaking compressed air coaster theyd have to improve on the hypersonic model by
creating higher capacity and other things. This is why i think gadv will get the
prototype of htis new improved TA2K. Then in 06 SfMM will go ahead and take this
model and get a 450 or 500 footer. Then in 07 cp will beat thast as Richard Kinzel
retires.
Thats my prediction, just seems tho be the mst likely ot me.

height restriction that is less than 420 feet. I dont know the exact height but I believe
its around 300.

limit when people want it too, but when the possibility of a record breaker comes there
is none.
Even if there isnt, that board approaved that coaster way to fast
for there to be a height of 300 ft or higher. Gadv would have to do alot more fighting
to get a record breaker approaved.....
Also every time im there i always
see planes flying very very low, thats something to think about....

While I
was at GAdv today with my friends I noticed in line for Superman, Small sections of
red Intamin track and yellow supports in the grass between S:UF and Scream
Machine. Then on the lift hill for Nitro I looked down at the maintenence area and
there was more small sections of red Intamin Track and yellow supports.
