I had to start on a new smaller coaster because the basement needs to be clean for the next couple weeks...It is my first "tube" coaster and it will need to build it fast so it won't be perfect, and sorry if I don't use you advice. (However I will always acknowledge your advice because I will be able to use it in the future..
.ok blah blah onto the coaster.......

Looks great so far, but the base is definitely excessive

Thanks, I might use the same design for a portion of the loop supports.

Thanks,I made the base so strong because I will be moving this coaster to a friends house and I thought to myself..."wouldn't it be nice if I didn't have to take it apart and retube it. Right now, I can successfully load the whole coaster into the back of a pickup:) however, you are right it is excessive, but it looks cool I guess. Do you think I should replace the yellow rods with granites?

P.S this coaster has to be 90 percent done by June 28th now..

Maybe I should add a chain lift

Oh okay, that explains the base, and yes, it does look cool! Keep going! And just wondering, why does it have to be completed so fast? Great idea, a movable coaster, then you never have to dismantal it lol

At that makes lots of sense! Whats the point in making it if you can't show it off? Lol have fun, and keep building!

Yep, I got around to my basement and started playing with some loop structures. I have made one that I especially like because of the blue rods.( cobalt can be, and is most commonly known, to be tinted blue.

Looks nice!

Thanks!

This is the loop structure that I think I will use.. It will definetly be bigger..I think its about two thirds the size it should be.
The track work is purely to see how big the loop is. Enjoy?

Edit: it has to be done this week!! :/

It's probably the right size, but the drop needs more banking

(1)- Voyage (2)- X2 (3)- Steel Vengeance (4)- Twisted Colossus (5)- Storm Chaser [6]- Fury 325 (7)- Outlaw Run (8)- Maverick (9)- Magnum XL-200 (10)- Monster

Coaster Count: 174

Park Count: 25

I like to break my passengers necks.. Just kidding..but thanks for the input..I changed it a little bit, but probably not enough to make it realistic though.:)

Update

The loop has been added and it definitely looks weird, but I am actually really happy with the shaping. It came together quite easily, but there is definetly some abnormalities. But I have no time to fix it..so I've moved on.

I would put a few more connections from the loop frame to the loop, but other than that it looks great.

The shape of the loop is quite good. The spine looks strange, though. It would look better if the spine followed the shape of the loop for longer. Also, the placement of the gear makes it look like there's a sharp spot in the crest, when it's really just a x-tie gap. The shaping of the drop is great.

Looks very nice! I think it looks weird because the track is far away from the support and if you made the support more the shape of the loop it would look a lot better just as Mr. Mackey said. Does it make it through the loop? Guessing a turnaround is next?

The loop looks nice but the spine is strange as it is quite far from the track, otherwise this is really good so far! :D

As everyone said, the spine is a little far from the track other than the top. Try to make it hug the track for the upper half of the loop if you can:) This is turning out really well, and your shaping is great!
