Everything about this ride is fantastic, and it looks like you're doing good on speed. Can't wait to see it finished.
About the last hill, it looks like the radius of the second half of the crest is smaller than the first half. Perhaps it should be more drawn out, in this pic it looks like the two hills "intersect" closer to the crest of the taller one while yours intersect closer to the bottom.Spoiler
Yeah, I'm not sure why the alignment is so far off. It must be something to do with the turnaround.
I feel that if you make the pullout larger (between the turning drop and the last hill) and make the Hill's radius more uniform, then it will look spot on. Another thing you may want to consider is using gray rods on the bottom half of the turning drop. It'll save speed much more
Really, though. This looks sick.
Compared to the pictures, I don't think the pullout is that far off.
Fully agree with that geek^. Defiantly use gray rods instead.
It looks fabulous! Please continue!
I would use gray rods, but there are two problems: 1. It would be a huge pain in the ass to replace them. 2. I am already fairly low on them, and replacing the flexies would only make that worse.
I went back and fixed the crest of the hill, it looks a whole lot more like the real one now. Speaking of looking like the real one, as Old_Hag pointed out, the placement of the hill is too far back. Now, I can fix this, but it will eat up a lot of time. I am going camping for the last week of August, so I would have to complete this ride by the 23rd in order to enter it in the Summer Heat contest. I think I will go for realism and try to finish it by around mid-September. Anyways, here are pictures of the redone crest:
Edit: Do you guys think moving the hill two red rods to the left will be enough?
