This is my first coaster recreation so it isn't the best coaster ever, but it is going ok so far. (I made the top of the lift hill on my desk because I don't have a lot of pieces.)

Looks good. I would make the helix smoother.

The crest of the hill after the loop looks a little sharp but overall the coaster looks pretty good.

While the actual thing gave me a severe concussion, this looks quite nice (and smoother).

^ That's partly your fault for getting on a Togo coaster in the first place! :P

I think you picked a really good coaster for your first recreation! If you use more cross-ties in your track, that will help smooth out the bumps (it also uses more pieces, so you may not have enough to do that, which is okay). It would also be good to spray a little silicone-based lubricant (not WD40) on the train's wheels, since that will help it run faster. I look forward to seeing the rest of the layout.

I have had, uh, unusual experiences with this ride as well. (Let's just say my friend and I have a few nicknames for this coaster including, but not limited to

Anyways, looks good for one of your first coasters. I would suggest using more x-ties and smoothing the crest out. Good job!

I made the helix smoother and a couple other things, I will probably post some pictures today or tomorrow. It gets really slow after the helix though, but maybe once I use some lubricant other than WD40 (which i just found out can damage the trains... good thing I only used it 2-3 times) then I can get it to work! (Also, I am getting another SS set for Christmas, so I will have more cross-ties and track :D)

Using a silicone spray on the wheel axles and adding some weight should make it significantly faster, just keep in mind the heavier the cars are the better your supports need to be.
Good luck. :)

I smoothed out some sections, I tried to make the end but it needed a launcher, and I don't like using them, so I'm redoing it. I still have a lot to do to make it work though. By the way, please please please leave some constructive criticism, if it's bad then say it is, and also say how it's bad! Thanks, :)

I like everything except for the helix right now. It needs some more smoothing up! other than that keep going!

If you're running out of cross ties which looking at your usage of them! appears to be the case, then try and use them as efficiently as possible. So instead of putting lots on the lift and station, use them instead for transitions and high force zones; places that need them more perhaps and that will help you smooth out the helix and other sharp areas that cause major speed loss. Every last bit you can get out is worth it. And I agree, silicone lubricant and weights will make that train fly round this. I do like this as a whole though. Reminds me of about where I was when I joined. Actually probably better.

I have to cancel this ride... I really don't want to but I can't get it to make it all the way through. I think I'll just make something simpler for now until I get used to the physics and stuff :(

Hey. Recreations are hard. If I were you, I would just ease the helix and make it go to the station / lift hill transition. And BAM! You got a ride!

You learn as you build. It's better to finish a few rides than to keep cancelling. You learn from mistakes and you get better at conserving speed throughout the ride as you learn to build supports on the critical places and create smooth track.

There's some great tutorials listed here to improve your trains too!

Actually I'm just going to cancel this one, I cant even get the helix to go into the station right and I really really want to try out a new project that should be much easier. Sorry :(

No shame, with everything you build you learn something :)
