New Launch for my upcoming coaster, a low to the ground launched coaster with a few airtime hills and lots of twists and turns.

I'm still working on straightening the launch track.

Try to upload the image as an atratchment through SSC in the posting options. It makes it easier for us to see, and I can't see it for some reason.

What I am saying is that you can attatch it through SSC. If you go into the posting options, click on "Choose File", find the file you watch to upload and then hit "Attatch File" which makes it compatible with the forum, and then you can click above that and hit "attatch" and it attatches the file to your response. You can do that with pictures and then upload to YoutTube for videos. (:

I hope that's better, how do you directly embed Youtube Videos?

I think it looks really good and the launch looks really well down. Straightening it out will help a lot on speed for later use.

Embedding them is just this:

[youtube*]*urEX5rO85JY*[/youtube*]

It's just the youtube tags and then the last part of the youtube link without any of those asterisks.

Edit: So basically you can copy and paste what I put and then delete the asterisks.

Also, you can edit your own posts so that you don't have to post twice in a row. (:

Good speed on that launch. Never really tried to build one myself so I'm not the greatest at judging this sort of thing (that's why I'm doing Civil engineering ;)) but I can see enough to say that you could certainly get a nice coaster with that.

What are the mechanics behind the launch?

Cool launch, seems pretty fast. It looks like there is a bump at the end of it though.

Thanks Man- good luck with your career

What are the mechanics behind the launch?

Essentially, the motors are geared so that they gain torque, and the motors pull back an elastic band which is connected the some chain, which hooks on to the car. The motors actually wind up fishing line to pull back the band. (I know that most likely made no sense I will post a video on here showing how it works this weekend) The switch's job is to move one gear out of place, so it releases and the train rockets away.

Cool launch, seems pretty fast. It looks like there is a bump at the end of it though.

The only problem I'm having now is a possible slight decrease in speed. I can't tell for sure though. Furthermore, that bump is something I am working on right now.

Thanks, and yes I did. If people want me to I suppose I could post a tut for it.

Thank you all for being supportive. I hope to work on the coaster more this weekend and next week.

EDIT: just realized i screwed up quoting and double posted :|

"Oh, I am not like the launch at all... some might say I am the reverse." Bonus points to anyone who knows what I'm referencing. Anyway, I feel like the pullout could be wider by just a yellow rod. There seems to be a straight spot in the 3rd picture from the 2nd to third yellow rods.

You my friend are referencing Mr. Thawne, Eobard to be exact! :D
