Announcing Project TRAC

Project TRAC will be a prototype coaster displaying my unique track and support system. The "blueprints" have been made, and construction will begin as soon as I can find time.

Currently, I'm very busy with school (term paper), so I don't know how quickly it will progress. Anyways, I expect this will be my last major project, so I will definitely make sure it will be my best.

More details will be announced later along with pics, but that may be a ways off. I am now doubting this will be done in time for the winter contest. It is more likely to be finished for TM.

I know it currently lacks details, but be patient. All will be revealed when I deem its ready.

Finally, I've never gotten to see you build a coaster. Now's my chance! It sounds good. Can we get an idea of what kind of coaster it is/will be?

Anyways, it will be like Speed O' Fear, but think more realistic (I know, that's hard to do;)).

So your using those supports? You must be crazy!

No, not those supports. I just said it would be "like" Speed O' Fear, meaning that it will be insanely realistic and innovative. Though I did hear from a park employee yesterday that the first shipment of pieces are scheduled to arrive by the end of the month at the very latest.

I doubt it will even be by the end of the month. I forgot which thread I saw it in but CB posted that he would announce TRAC in a week, and it was a month.

Oh right, I did see you build that..But I didn't really follow it at all. I just checked in every once in ahwile.
How is it going to be more realistic than speed o' fear? Copper pipes? haha

^ No, i can see how he means by more realistic supports. Look at steel hypercoaster pics and study the supports. Thats what i think.

Triple helix, I've been working on a launch coaster with the same exact track style. Just puttin' it out there. And CB, good luck with this if you are trying this. I did it by building the track section normally, removing the flexis and putting track on.

Yeah, I had a feeling that someone had thought of it before (it's a simple idea), but I've never seen anyone post a picture of it.

Wow, that is a great idea. But no, the track and supports will both be very innovative. It is not special for how the track looks, but how the entire tracking system actually functions.

As for an update, I hope to get a lot done over the weekend. Right now, I have practices before and after school everyday, a term paper due soon, and two speeches to prepare for. But, I do hope to make a lot of progress this weekend.

Maybe it's a coaster thats racing, but with a transfer track in the middle of it? Im just throwing out ideas.
