Alright I was thinking after Sidewinder I would make a small woodie because I noticed I have a whole sandwhich bag full of blue rods. So, after the Winter Contest, I am going to try a small woodie.

I think you should try a Small Woodie, but please can oyu post pictures of the bag of blue rods.

Builderboy, woodies are extremely hard and painful to build if you are going to build it right. Also, they usually take a few thousand blue rods, even the smallest ones. You will probably run out before you're lift is done and if not, definetly after the first drop. You can try and good luck but if will be very tough indeed. If you need more pieces, go to www.ebay.com and people usually sell like bags of 500 or 1000.

if its the ordinary sandwich bag thats not enough you need like 40 sandwich bags full ,or at least a half gallon bag full.

Well I don't think so. IMO steel are harder to support and woodies just takes long time to build. If you can build right and you have ALOT of blue rods there should be no problem.

^taking them apart takes a very long time.

Take a pic of the blue rods and ill compare to how many it took me on my woodie that I am building.

You could probably build a really small hybrid. But I don't know for sure, because I have never built a woodie using blue rods before.

yeah dude that is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to small of a bag. you need a lot more blue rods. you should get the 1000 blue rods from knexparts.com and you should be fine.

^Cause you're mixing a ton of red rods in there...and that bag won't get him through half the coaster.

I have about 10 of those bags, and I am stillling using a hybrid strucutre on The Prowler.

well i can tell you that there is no were near 1000 blue rods in that bag and you need at least 750(i would think) to make a farely small woody.

BuilderBoy, i recomend PM someone who has made some decent woodies(Knexcoastermaker, or roller coaster kid) about hoe many blue's they used on there coasters.

Definetly order that bag of 1000. It will help you immensly. Or you could buy them from someone if you know of anyone who has alot and is willing to sell.
