Hey

I've slowly built a small looper over the past month, with the winter contest in mind.
I was surprised how little speed I could get out of it, so unfortunately the layout is pretty small and i had to add some tire drives at the end.

There are no parts that extend out of the 5x5x5 box.

Wow this is pretty good! You might win if you fix the loop and make it more olyptical that is if you haven't taken it down.

BTW I like the station.

I'm geussing you have a back chain dog so it can get around that turn in between the two lifts?

And do you know what we mean by fixing the loop?

^you guessed right.

I never really noticed the loop, but I can see that it shaped weirdly.

I will try my best to fix it.

Thanks for the Comments. anyone else?

Its a good coaster but it's a little bumpy. The turns are a little out of shape to.Why didn't you make a construction thread for this?

^I wasn't really on this site too much when i started it, so.

I'm having a hard time with the loop. Its hard to keep it symmetrical because the two pullout aren't on the same level. In order to get speed for the next element, i had to bring the pullout completely to the ground. So that totally throws of the shaping of the loop.

Could someone point out the spots that need shaping, or maybe draw a picture?

The main thing is that it's not symmetrical, which almost all loops are. If you mirror it exactly on both sides, it will look much better. The fatness is just due to a small space to fit it in.

^He still has more room to pull the top of the loop higher, so it's a pointy oval shape.

The yellow circle is the very top of your loop. I drew two red lines from the same symetric point on the circle to the point on your loop were it is exactly vertical. See how the right segment of the circle is larger? that's because in your loop, the left side curves tighter and faster that the left. Also, compare the parts circled in blue. See how the left one is a smaller curve? That is because, like you said, the pullout is lower than the pullin. Fix these things and your loop will be golden! :)
