^ I can make it more "condensed". However, I can't make it any lower because the gears will hit the ground. It's pretty high off the ground anyway...pic

Big update:

1. The launch is no longer self-resetting
2. The launch and station are 1 granite rod shorter
3. The launch is tube-supported
4. I'm no longer recreating Xcelerator

Big surprise, I changed my mind. I've done that like 10 times now.

VIDEO ~ I expected it to go about 1/5 that fast...maybe I'll make the coaster 7 feet tall or something.

geez that thing is fast! you should just leave the motors on the entire time, have a tire drive in your station, and bang! automatic launch! I'd like to see a 7 footer from you... ;)

I would suggest maybe connecting the towers with only one or two supports in an inconspicious way. Also, you could add some track strengtheners to the unsupported part. Besides that it looks awesome, I'll be watching this one...

I'd leave them apart. It doesn't shake much, just add some track strengtheners to the inside of the track.(Tubing, flexis, ect.)

sweet. That's actually what I meant by air hill (I thought top hats had to have twists)

maybe it could be taller so you can get more out of it.

^ I don't really want to make it taller. I could (my launch is completely capable), but I prefer to make smaller cosaters, and I am too excited for my next one.

The tophat is surprisingly sturdy...

If anything, I would make it more pointy. You should also use some track strengthening as well.

^ I added some banking, and I made it turn more sharply. I also made it into an inclined helix rather than an overbank.

I say layer the tophat also try using a simple rubberband brake when testing it, just make a little rubberband over the track that the train will catch. Much like a brake on an aircraft carrier.
