I am thinking of making the first K'nex Skee-ball machine. For now it will not count points or keep score, but it will be motorized and hopefully be coin-operated. Right now I just need a design to base it off of. As of now I have 3 options.

Option 1. Classic Skee-Ball. Relatively easy design.
Posted Image

Option 2. Hoops Skee-Ball. Pretty much the same as classic but with different holes.
Posted Image

Option 3. Monster Skee-Ball. I couldn't find the right pic because I don't know what it's exactly called, but I found what the design is related to.
Posted Image

So, which which of the three would you like to see built?

I think you should build the classic.

Definitely the classic. I think LIL should try this. (LIL=LukeIsLuke)

I agree. I think that you should go with the classic. How big will this be?

Well......just say I was sick today and got a little carried away...

HUGE update- I got the front and back support frames, and the strait section, and even got the mechanism going.

Nice!!! Love it. The only thing is that the straight section has big gaps. Other than that it is pure awesomeness.

^That's a good idea. If i was building this I would run out of pieces and try to make it like weasel's foosball table. I have to say it's pimpin.

Awsome! I'm really looking forward to this.

Fraggie is right, it should be lower. It should be low enough so that you can throw the balls underhand.

Is the automatic motor switch working good for you?

^^I am the youngest in my family, and third shortest so I measured it so I barely have to bend down when I swing my arm. It's at a prtty good height, but I may go back and fix it.

^It's woking perfect, I just rearranged the gears a bit and got it working perfect.

There should be a possible video update showing the finished flat ball path and the working mech. tomorrow.

Thanks!,

it looks like it'll be bit saggy in the middle. maybe add some lateral support beams. (used the word lateral correctly)

Why would he need lateral supports? I don't think that there would be much side-to-side movement. But he should, however, add a support beam in the middle, it is sagging a bit.

^^No
^No, it doesn't need it and plus, I need the pieces.

Well, I have a MAJOR update. I finished the whole thing except for the holes, back panel, and the cage for the holes. The design is working perfectly, so it can easily be broken into 3 parts and moved elsewhere. The mechanism is also working 100%. Enough talk.

The pics are dark because you didn't use the flash like you did last time.
That looks really cool! Have you tried it yet?

Looks cool! I mean laterals as in support beams on the bottom to keep it a lot harder. because it's only one layer of knex thick.

you can play these without coins in real life buy sticking your arm up the hole to get the ball.
