And construction has started today! Making the foundation took a while, so I didn't spend much time on the actual trackwork. I will probably have to shift some supports, but that'll be done next weekend.

Goodness that base is complex... you can't see through it! It looks good though, I like how you planned where every tube would go, it makes the construction process much easier. Good job.

TBH, I don't like how the whole thing is lifted off the ground. On Doomsday Machine it was cool because it was a small coaster. On something of this scale, I don't really like it. There isn't anything else to comment on so I guess good luck.

They're the same as the ones on The Gumpinator. Well, most of 'em. Some are a little different as they are not in the center of a blue square.

I found a way to have maximum diagonals in the base, so that is why there are so many yellow rods and also why you can hardly see through it.

I think that it would be more noticeable with a small coaster than with a large coaster. And this base is one blue rod, contrary to Doomsday Machine's base of two blue rods.

Lazor, the SFoG spin-off goes below ground level, I don't know if that is what your going for, though, Gump.

Wow, it's been a while since I updated. Actually I built a lot more. The penis-part of the ride - have a look again at the layout sketch - will have to be extended. Otherwise the upcoming turn would be too small. Hope I'll be able to fit everything in, as I figured that the scale I'm working on right now is rather small. I think the loop will barely fit between the corks, but I'll do my best.

The thing that I'm not that positive about is that heavily banked turn in between the corkscrews. Due to the scale it is not possible to shape the track exactly like the real thing, but what I have now causes the train to hit the crossties. Actually I tested with a single car at a different speed than the final speed, so I don't know whether the final train will hit the crossties...

Anyway, I think it is time for pictures! Five to be exact.
