I don't know if "redux" is s'posed to be used the way I used it, but too late now!
The first time was an epic fail, but things get better the 2nd time around. I've gathered some experience, pieces, and knowledge, and I think I can do this, so here I go! First, I'm going to show you what the part section I made looked the first time and wahat it looks like now, so first, the lift...
Posted Image
And the new and improved lift (without the chain and stuff).
Posted Image
P.S. Right now i'm out of yellows, But if you read on my user page, I have half of my pieces at a project at school, and I'm getting a ton more on eBay.
P.S.S. since all of the pieces I'm getting from eBay are yellow, I'm going to use yellow rods on most of the stuff I'm building (Instead of color coded grey-speckled).
Comment and Enjoy!

way better I'd suggest to take out that lateral support. it'll just use pieces ,who needs a lift to be able to take g's? if it was bigger then id be ok.

if your out of yellows already you should really cut it down to size just taking off say 1 yellow in height can save you at least 40 in the layout.

I mean, it's a lift hill, but the improvement is pretty obvious. Just keep us updated and we will guide you through it.

^^^Thanks!
^^ Already done! It seems as though the whole "Hotwire" look is gone without it, but oh whell!
^Will do!
Alright guys, I've got some good news and some bad news... good news first.
Mini Update! I got part of the turn in.

the other good news is that my knex came from eBay! Which brings us to the bad news... ALL of the grey slide together pieces came in purple; all 100 of them. so I'm going to throw the color coding away untill I get my pieces back from school, then I'll probably replace them. Comment, Rate, and Subscri... oh wait, I'm not on Youtube... Then just Comment!

The crest is a bit sharp.

It's not a direct side view but you can tell it is a lot more gradual than your crest.

Sorry for not Updating in a while, but I got the drop done! I can't get it to get that bendy shape like you guys make it, but I think the pullout looks GREAT. Here are some pictures!

Wow. That looks great. 2 things, though. Make more connections to the structure, and beef up the supports. There should never be just a snowflake connector connecting 2 structures.

Also, on the lift, a way to save pieces is to replace the 3D connectors with the granites on the bottom with half moons.

Wow i like it alot.
See now that is a good way to make a straight drop.
Nice shape and everything. The supports need some work though.

Alright, the red and yellow rods need to be built in, the green is everywhere there needs to be a structure to track connection, and blue is how the shaping should be. Oh, and your lift would look tons better if you hid the chain inside the structure.

Those supports really aren't neccesary, and IMO the chain looks cool like that. It's up to tou though if you want the drop straight or curved, although I'd recommend it be curved.

I think I'm going to go with the straight drop, because I've done everything I could and that's what I got. I AM going to replace the 3-d's on the lift like DDRMan said. And yes, I will add those extra supports and hide the chain... only problem is, I'm at school right now so... update in an hour or 6.

Sure, the drop I posted is a straight drop, you just need to start your pullout earlier.

Ok, back from school. Here's what I did and didn't do.
Do
1. Beef up drop supports,
2. Change lift structure 3-d's
3. Change drop

Didn't do
1. Change drop
2. Hide Chain.

Yes, I know I put "Change drop on both lists, that's because I changed the top a tiny bit and did nothing to the bottom. But this message also comes with an update... YOUR'S FREE!

I think that the pull-in should be bigger, it also looks asymmetrical.

I mean, the whole transition from the drop to the inversion should probably be a solid 2 gray rods longer, but you aren't going for perfection here. I think you should extend it more and make the transition into this element, loop I am guessing, alot higher. You are already beyond 90* and your barely half way there.

Bad news and good news... bad news first.
Bad news is that I ran out of grey 3-d's.
Good news is that I fixed the loop!
The other good news is that I found a song for the final video I'm making (Yes, It'll be big.) The song is...
YouTube - The Four Horsemen - Metallica
Find out ;)
Picture of fixed loop...

That pull-out to the drop looks fairly small. I say fix that before dong th loop.
