I would like to see if they have gotten any ideas from SSC and have incorporated them into the coaster

I love how that set looks. The cars look like the SS cars, so that's a good thing.

Not many granites in that set though...

Oh, I have one more thing to say.
I heard soooooo many complaints about the MP3 speakers, and about why they don't just get out the MP3 speakers to make it cheaper. Well, that will DEFFINATLY not make a big difference. K'nex probably buys those speakers for less than 2$ a piece.

I do have to agree with it being weird that they are in there. Why would you need speakers on your k'nex rollercoaster? But there will probably be a few stupid parents who think like: Well, it's a bit expensive, but you get 8000 parts, AND AN MP3 PLAYER!

Edit: ^ I disagree. The K'nex designers probably know darn well how to build a rollercoaster. But they have to build coasters that can also be made by any dumbass who buys the set. And if the picture in the folder looks a lot better than the result, people will feel like they were screwed.

^ true, i ussualy do not care if the set is weird.but the most important is.
K'nex is producing ss style back. And the coaster has trains x fies and a lot of tubing.

K'NEX produces a set that can be built by anyone and we take it to the next level. As long as they supply us with the sets, we'll keep on building. Right? :D

another one of those long time posts, i think the speakers are there for ambiance of your rie after all many coasters have music in the que lines and stations, so they are trying to think of ways to make the sets more complete. After all there is a concsession stand from the looks of the picture.

I do agree they could have added more of the different elements then they are showing after all.

Also agree the price is way too high, I do hope they bring it down just like to get a set just to have it. Also would hope they come out with 2 different sets one with speakers and one without to have an option on costs.

Seeing the speakers, I think they would cost only a dollar or two. So getting rid of those would not decrease the price. Actually, I think the speakers are a cheap way of making your ride more complete. A great choice this way. We didn't complain about the sound modules in Screamin' Serpents, right?

The loop is horrible, like the original SS (or my first loop haha) and is sure to be the major speed killer. Obviously they intend this to be used with a non-weighted train...

I think the best part of all this is they are making the SS parts again, which insures there will be a fresh supply. I'm sure if they don't sell any of these they will follow up with some smaller cheaper sets.

Comet Recreation still underway.

Proof you never grow up if you keep playing with toys!

They should include some kind of oil spray in the set and just show in the instructions how to use it. That would make possibilities for a better lay out and ride I think.

^ yes but that would make the set like $100 more for the markups on the spray.

^By just including some silicone spray and instructions the price won't raise by $100,-

A lot of nitpicking about the loops really. Not to bash you, but it's quite obvious from K'NEX' point of view.

The kids these days con't care much about realism, they want the cars to go upside down, through high speed turns etc. as much as they possibly can. A superduper realistic coaster is far from as appealing to those kids, isn't it?

^Truth Max. When I had a really nice hyper in my house, people would come over and complain it wasn't "intense" enough and when was I going to put a "loop-de-loop" in. The more upside downs knex puts in the better.

If knex wants more inversions, they should make an inverted coaster :D
