Haha, I made a prototype launch a while ago that was just like that! You remember that ol' thing, Gvus?

The launch you built looks so precise, it's incredible! Those VV rods look like they sure came in handy. I also like how you melted the chaindog. I have tried to make a catch car out of a ladder connector (by cutting out the middle), and it's not easy; melting the pieces seems like the solution.

Is the catch car falling apart when it hits the end of the launch, or when you're wind the launch back up?

Good work on this launch. It must be powerful enough to launch the train over the tophat.

I would use a drill to speed up the winding process. That would require a different releasing mechanism though. Also have you tried superglueing your catch car? It helped to keep the catch car I used on my launch together.

Hi guys! I have to admit I did zero work on the launch. I ended up chasing Maverick most of the weekend. But it's really amazing to see all these pieces and ideas come together to form a functional structure. Hopefully I'll be able to help out soon! I'm learning a lot though, thanks to my awesome teacher.

You've done what was one of the greatest challenges to build with standard K'nex, with micro pieces. You sir, are a genius.
Might I add that the launch looks quite powerful too. That's also a major accomplishment.

I spent this weekend re-shaping the top hat, and started to connect the three pieces together.
I still need to make a bunch of track to support connections and add the spine before I can start testing the ride.

Funny, I was just thinking of this just a few days ago. Looks good, but they track goes inward at the beginning of the hill at the end of the launch in a weird way.
