Actually guys, give me some time (i.e. a couple months) and I'll have a way to reset the Jesper launch automatically. Or I guess I could give the design to Steel, as long as I would be credited...

I actually like drill launches a TON better because they don't need resetting and you can make them automatic. How to make the car go backwards on it, though...I don't know.

I've been thinking of putting a connector on the jesper's launch chain and using a small rubber band to keep the chain dog up. Then after releasing the train, the connector would stay hidden underneath the track, at the end of the launch. Then when the train rolls back, it won't notice the chain at all. And by that you could make a shuttle coaster.

Or, you could just put some friction brakes on the launch. It would launch the same speed, but the train would slow down and stop going backwards.

How would you solve the chaindog problem?
If I end up doing this, I'd have a drill launch and after it goes past a certain point, I'd put up the friction brakes. I'd then have a system pushing it back. I don't know, just an idea.

^It is. Actually, to build a ride with a more powerful launch, you need a longer launch run. The longer the launch you have, the faster your train will go.

If you modify the launch, you can make something with the same strength but with 1/10th of the parts....

Still, this is a great inspiring for us all!

^I don't think that was the best way to word it.

Put it this way: A dead thread is a thread that hasn't been commented on in over 2 months. Simply don't post in a thread is if the last comment was over 2 months. Posting in dead threads can lead to infractions and if you do it enough, temporary bans.

I'll agree with LaMbChOpZ on this one. However, don't be too harsh on him. It was his first post. There are some people who bump threads who have been here for months... so his "offense" wasn't really that terrible.
