On the bottom layer of the launch, there is the wheel that holds the rubberband. That's all I see its use for, excluding support. If you took the bottom layer out, then I geuss you would just put the rubberband on one of the rods touching the ground.

I have the same problem and I checked it over and over again and again and I got it right but my chain still is broken and I checked my chains. Even if I pull it back just halfway to the trigger it gets jammed under the gear even with safety rails in the tips and it breaks. ONe time the gear broke off to.

^&^^ your rubber band may be too strong. Try testing it with the car on the track it will slow it down considerably.

^It's possible you have one chain link too many. Check to make sure your gears are positioned exactly like they should be in the tut.

I think this is how:
To the wheel: cut the rubberband, (make sure it's strong, and long; No Homo) make a loop with one end of it, put it on the wheel, and tie it.
To the chain: same thing

I did all of that and It still doesn't work since it breaks when I test launch it and I have a garbage bag rubber band.

What's a garbage bag rubber band? I might be able to help you if I knew what you're talking about.

WEll a garbage bag rubber band is pretty much a big thick rubber band and it is dark colored, has rough texture and I not sure if it's really strong but that pretty much all the details about a garbage bag rubber band.

OH ya and why would you waste a perfectly good rubber band if you can just make a loopdy knot tie with no cuts and no severes of the rubber band?

DANG! I can't get this to work still. I took it apart and rebuilt it perfectly but the chain still breaks when I release it.

I guess it's not technically 'dead,' but don't post in threads more than a month old. Also, don't even try Mr. Freeze. There has never been a successful attempt, and a n00b could never complete it.

Also, this type of launch wouldn't work on a shuttle coaster unless...nevermind.

*BUMP*

I know it's a bump it it's stickied. I have a question. How would you get this to work on a shuttle coaster?
The reason i'm asking is because I'm starting my Halloween coaster. Thanks

No, it wouldn't. The car won't have enough force going in reverse the reset the launch. I tried it on a shuttle once, and my chain guide and car went BOOM.

I think that a high torque motor like what TH has could reset the launch. I'll have to try it once I get one.
