Inspired once again.

Too bad I suck at building though... Practice practice practice... I should start working on Formule-X again.

For the rest, looking good, I really like the not-so-steep lift.

^^Agreed. This really is looking cool, but do you think you'll have enough speed for a full layout? Unless you're using boosters, or the first part before the launch is really short, I don't think you'll have that much speed. Also, try to make the pullout go down immediately. The pullout doesn't flatten out while it's banking, it keeps going down to the ground:

EDIT: Nevermind, I have to read the text in the update before I comment :)

Sorry for lack of updates, I've been building slow lately. No info on the launch type has been released, but the pre-launch part of the layout has been revealed (it may need changing though, due to speed). But first, the story continues....with pics!!

Yay, another day at the park along with some pics of the progress. It appears that the next element is a small airtime hill, similar to the hill found on Renegade (right after the drop). It appears that the track has been recently strenghtened too. Here they are....

Posted Image
The pullout of the drop (still looks sharp, due to resizing).

Posted Image
Everybody loves a hill.

Posted Image
Cool picture (the sharp spot in the drop here, is caused by the angle).

Posted Image
Looking down from the observation tower.

Posted Image
A lift, a drop and a hill. Zomg.

And here is the pre-launch layout, so kindly revealed by the website:

The track will now curve down to the left, into a large ground-level curve. This will be followed by either (A): Another airtime hill, or (B): A zero-g roll. A zero-g is more likely though. Either element will be placed over the pullout of the drop. Several curves will follow before the launch track. The launch track will be placed directly under the lift. More will be revealed as construction continues.

The pull-out looks good, but that hill will kill a TON of speed. Stick to the turn. You'll have more speed with the turn than what you have now.

How about putting a normal-sized hill at an angle under the lift after the turn?

I think the pullout looks fine, and everything is smooth. Possibly a few more track supports on the hill though. After the Zero-G, there won't be that much speed left before the launch though.

^yea i was about to put that

It'll be good if the element after the zero-g isn't twisted and crazy, but I do like it!

Support the turn at the bottom of the drop as much as you can, you dont want to lose speed at the very beggining of the ride.

^^This pic is from the SSC gallery, let me know if you can see it.

Well there's been a big change in plans, and I've taken apart the hill. Knexems was right, it was sucking up too much of my speed. No story for this update though. I can't think of how to explain the sudden deconstruction of a real-life coaster element. I'm going with the turn instead, but no radii supports.....using them made the turn a lot bigger than I wanted. The change in supports meant I had to redo part of the pullout, so let me know how it looks now. I think there's something minor that's wrong but IDK.

Edit- I think it's too sharp at the beginning, do you guys agree??

It looks fine to me. You could probably make the drop steeper though, it's a little straight at 90 degrees.

Yeah it's a tad small. I loved where you were going with this coaster before the last update (the small hill), it truly looked amazing, but just like most everyone has said, it would've sucked up too much speed. With ideas like the small hill though, I'm looking forward to the rest of the ride. Keep up the good work.

Looks good, But bring the turn down, around and a nice overbanked turn right next to the lift.

When you say 'bring it down', do you mean I should make the turn go to ground level???

yeah... that's what he means.

Looks nice... I like the 27* lift. I would do what mike said or maybe make a stengle dive underneath the lift. That would be sick.

I think I'm gonna keep the turn at a white rod level for now. Then I'll descend the track to ground level after the next element. I'm getting sorta tired with the story too, so I may just update without a story from now on. Also, thanks for the layout ideas. I continued on with the turn and have found it to be a pain sometimes. Especially with the supports I have to use. Here's the start of the turn and it's pretty sturdy. I'm tired of typing now....pics...

I spy a track splice bump in the last pic. Hopefully you'll change the tubing, because those things MURDER speed. Looks good though.

Geez, how many K'nex man parts do you have? I only have like 3 and about 7 of those really big bulky ones. I only use them when necessary.
