Perfect pacing and that heartlining

Thank you, I wanted the train to realistically make each element and I think it turned out great!

^^^ what he said! Are the cars weighed & how much? Stock wheels or ball bearings? I’m envious of the energy retention!!

Yeah all of the cars are weighted with 20 pennies and I use the regular SS wheels. I lube my train once a year to keep the trains fresh and break them during the coaster that I am building! But having a strong structure and lots of track connections to maintain speed is one of the best ways for energy rentention imo!

Thanks, glad you like the coaster so far!

For this update we have another over bank turn but this time it is going in the opposite direction. I tried to get it similar to the first over bank seen on Superman at SFNE while trying to get the shape of the element back in the opposite direction towards the second half of the layout. I managed to get the shaping down with gray rods only which surprised me a bit but made it easier to shape the track throughout the element. Hope you enjoy the pics and test video as always!

looks amazing!, wondering what kind of performance you would get from using bearing trains, because it was quite a bit boost for me.

Yes an OverbakedTurn, not an OverbankedTurn!

Looks amazing! I love how the 2nd overbank twists the opposite direction in exiting, and the 3rd looks great as well.

Thank you! It took a few tries to get the track shaped perfectly, but I'm glad it turned out great!

Yeah that would be pretty cool, but I'm just gonna stick to what works best for me. I always take good care of my trains don't worry.

That's what I was looking for as well. I don't like every element going in the same direction so I try to mix it up in each direction so it looks a lot better!

I wanted to incorporate some airtime time hills towards the middle and back half off the layout so I thought this would be a great time since I have enough space after the over bank to add them in the layout. I don't get to build back to back air hills often so I thought it was really fun to try it out again. The height loss was great, in which I only loss a granite rode between air hills but that's expected with the trains moving in a straight direction with no twists. Sorry for the bad lighting on some pictures, i was hard to make it brighter in the room when the sun was setting. Think there will be one more update and then the final video!

Never tried a turning drop after an air hill, pretty hard to build it next to the wall but it turned out just fine

Looking good! I really like the way you shaped your drop and overbanks. I've always been surprised by how tall you're able to get your elements, haha!

I think the pacing through the first 3 elements is great, the last two hills could do with just a smidge more speed - but I am wondering if perhaps you'll clean/lube your trains for the final run (that will probably fix it) ;)

Just superb.

But I agree ^, pacing is just a smidge off on the hills, probably the first hill more than the second.

Thanks a lot!! They definetly took a bit of work to get the shaping correct, but I am glad with how they turned out. You have to support the track, have a strong structure, and take care of your trains by weighing and lubing them each year so they can perform great on each coaster you build!

Yeah I released I built the first air hill a bit to high and the train sometimes does not clear it which can be frustrating at times. The second hill is perfect and the trains always clears it with realistic speed. Once the train is warmed up after a few runs around the track it should be able to clear the hills with ease which it does in the final video, don't worry!

Thank you! Yeah I noticed the first air hill may have been a bit to tall, but I needed the air hill to be at a certain height so the train does not hit its structure when it is coming down from the stengal dive. It clears it with great speed on the final video none the less!

Back for another update and probably the last one before the final video which should be up next week! After the two air hills I managed to wrap the track around the first overbank that goes into another air hill which was a bit challenging to build based on space limitations, followed by some low to the ground turns and bunny hills before the train hits the brake run! I was starting to run out of granite rods and track connectors towards the end of the layout but I managed to make it work. Plenty of head chopper moments are included in this area and I think it looks pretty awesome. The name for this coaster will be called Kratos, the Greek god of strength and power. Hope you enjoy the pictures and test video as always and tell me what you think of the layout.

You've certainly nailed this one! Perfect pacing for sure. The extra attention to detail in the station, catwalks and maintenance bay make it even better. Looking forward to seeing the final vid!

Haha I know right! Glad you like the coaster!

Thank you! I try to take my time when shaping the track for each element making sure its as smooth as possible and then going back and strengthening the track up before I test it!

Nice. :D

Thank you! I tried to fit the layout in as best as I could with the space provided. I thought some intertwining track would look pretty cool and provided some head chopper moments! It was definitely a challenge to build the last sections of the structure and track in that tight space.

I always like to include the extra details in my models, that's what brings them to life and adds more realism. I wish more people but more time and effort into these areas as it can really improve their coasters! I know it may take a lot of pieces so that is why I build them first before I build the lift hill and layout.

Damn that's sweet. The pacing is fantastic

Thanks! I think the pacing is pretty good as well, wish I could have made the layout a little longer but I was running out of important pieces and space at that point.

Alright time for the final video! Hope you enjoy it, it was one of the best edited videos I have ever made before and I think it turned out great! Think I got all the angles I could manage to film of Kratos. I was thinking of doing a recreation of Monster at Adventureland for my next creation, since I want to take another crack at a coaster with a vertical lift, so stay tuned for that when I get the chance to build another model again!
