Its ridiculous that there are three hurricanes going on right now...

^Yeah. I was watching TWC today and I noticed how Irma's eye was perfectly tracing the coast of Cuba. Irma here is like a zombie.

They said that once it gets back in the water, it might be able to return to a cat 4 or 5. So in addition the 3 hurricanes (as you mentioned), Irma here is like a zombie.

 

Zombie? That's not unexpected behaviour for a hurricane. They are driven by evaporation of seawater, so they will start losing energy rapidly when they make landfall. If the hurricane's path takes it back out to sea, then it can build in strength again.

Hurricane update for those who are interested.

My parents home has flooded (if you look at the big lake in Florida they are east of it, near the ocean.) The road in front of the house has flooded, with about 2-3 inches of water inside.

Up in Orlando we have not had the same effects. Just a lot of rain so far with the main bit coming tonight around 2-3 AM, parked my car in a parking garage yesterday just in case it flooded up here.

Hopefully it stays like that in Orlando but that sucks for your parents. I guess you'll have a few more hours of those conditions to go. At least your power isn't out.

I'm glad to hear Orlando is all right, but I hope flooding recedes quickly in the other areas. I made it back to California on Saturday night, so I'm fine, but a lot of my friends are back in Orlando.

Don't worry guys my knex made it through the hurricane, no need to worry! I'll try to build another coaster when I have the time to soon.

I'm glad to see the hurricane didn't screw up your prorities! Knex always come before family and friends and school no matter what.

Glad to see everyone in Florida is doing okay. Now just gotta wait to see what Hurricane Jòse and Tropical Storm Lee do, as well as Hurricane Katia in the gulf.

Fortississimo. There. | In the dream realm, I was asked to help someone. I located this one lady who was a fashionista or something... I'll just call her Rarity II. I teleported over to her and found her sitting down in the corner, crying. Long story short, she was going to leave and give up on life, and I did my best to encourage her to keep going... but I failed. I couldn't save her, and by the time I wanted to try again, I woke up.

14 hours?? Are you getting paid overtime for that? I don't know how they can expect their ride ops to be alert and working efficiently after working that long of a day.

So does this mean that some ride operators have to stand 14 hours in the summer heat? Watching a bunch of people get to ride Banshee while I stand and watch would be torture for me. I would be so jealous - with the exception of Screamin' Squirrel.
