Continuing what you all said and showed above, I also found this:
Hersheypark

Some of the 2011 and beyond items seems to be promising, especially relocating the western side of Park Boulevard, just so they have a little extra room in years to come... interesting.

I just can't wait to see what hershey will come up with next, and these teasers are starting to get very annoying.

Well, they do in fact look like the same style supports that I305 has, but I don't know what the hell I'm talking about.

So we know it's an Intamin Mega or Mega-Lite, with a general idea of the layout, especially with the station, lift, drop, and flat first turn. After that, the layout and stats are all guesses.

I'm not surprised Hershey is turning to Intamin once again as their two most recent projects have been of this make. I think my best bet is a Mega .But I must say either would be a great fit for the park.

EDIT: I edited my stupidity :D

I think my best bet is a Mega, I think it's a little tall to be a Mega-lite, not to mention that only one of them exists and it's in Europe. But I must say either would be a great fit for the park.

It's mainly about their Mini Supports, which you see in a picture. Further there is a reference to some of the supports were they should be used or not.

I drove by Hershey today, and there were indeed many supports sitting over by Lightning Racers. They were just right by the road, you could just walk over and touch them if you wanted to. Some of their bases were square like the one in the picture, and some were circular, but all of the support tubes were square.

^Well why didn't you just take a souvenir! They sell pictures! :lolo

Well I'm a big fan of Intamin, but square-ish like supports just aren't my favorite. I prefer the good old circular tube supports, but if it makes an amazing coaster, then I'll love them.

I think me and my family and possibly a friend or two might go to hershey (or SFGA) this summer so if we get any information, if we even go, I'll be glad to share it with you all.

In today's newspaper for the Harrisburg area, the Patriot News, they mentioned all of the already known about the coaster, but also about the parks expansion past Park Avenue. They said the park is proposing to create an expansion a quarter of the parks current size, and they would relocate Park Avenue. They also mentioned that another project may be started in 2012. :D

Things are getting interesting with Hershey... It also reminds me of what Dorney Park's planning to do when they get their new coaster: Expand.

(sorry in advanced for such a big post, but there's a TON of news)

Kinda bumping this, but being on the facebook group for this has brought a lot of detail into Hershey's new coaster:

Again, Sorry for having such a big post, but I wanted to keep you all updated.

  • August 2nd is the Press Release
  • The supports are Intamin, boxed, and light blue (pictured)
  • Golden Rod / Golden Rod 85 is a main color, but for what is unknown (pictured)
  • Orion is also involved somehow
  • Coaster should be 212 feet, but the lenght can range from 3,300 to 5,500 ft. (up to over a mile long)
  • Footers are already being constructed and the creek has already been drained. (pictured)
  • Many clues have been put in place all around the park, such as stickers all around Hershey (pictured)
  • SKYRUSH is said to be the supposed name, but there is also news that Hershey will be purchasing a drop tower which could be it's name instead
  • LaMarkus Bros. is another major group that's involved with P-2012.
  • Layout has already been announced (pictured below)

^That layout plan makes it look as though the lift supports will be similar to those of I305. They don't have much space back there, so I'm interested in how they will fit in the rumored 212 ft. tall lift.

I was at Hershey today, and I stuck my camera under the construction fence between the entrance of the park and Comet. I got some pictures of the footers and construction site.
