While i was just browsing around on rcdb i saw this http://www.rcdb.com/id4346.htm the coaster is gonna be out sometime in 2010 i have no ideas about it because the news is so new (december 4th) but hopefully its a good one

They just got Tatsu, now Terminator, and then another one! Dang, I thought 6Flags was like $2billion in the hole! Wow, this'll put SFMM on the map (even more)...with more coasters than CP! W00t beat that!

SFMM must have had one amazing 08' season. Sadly, it will never be better than CP, don't get your hopes up.

As soon as Magic Mountain has 4 Hypers, 3 of which are in the Top 10 Steel Coasters as voted by Amusement Today, then the park will not be better than Cedar Point. Not only that but food-wise, environment-wise, and park-friendliness wise Cedar Point has every edge.

I have nothing against this park, I am excited to go there this spring, but it being called better than the Roller Coaster Capital of the World just pissed me off a bit. It's been voted the best park in the world for the past...what?... like five years?

^I agree SFMM will never be better than Cedar Point. I live like 45mins away from Cedar Point. I think the SFMM coaster for 2010 is a junior coaster, thats what I herd.

My guess is that this will go in where flashback was, meaning, a small coaster.

And I have to agree with Chubs, SFMM will never beat out CP. Having been to both parks I would know. Sure they have some good coasters, but that's about it. CP wins with the environment, food, friendly-ness, pretty much everything Chubs said. And who cares if SFMM will have as many coasters as CP, none of them are in the Top Ten, and Cedar Point has 3. And CP has a lot less room to put there coasters in, which makes them all unique. I think that CP's only clone is Raptor, yet it was the original clone.

You can't compare the two parks unless you've been to both, and then you'll know, CP is way better.

I thought Cedar Point was over-rated and their weather policies are bull. Cool park, but not the best nor is SFMM.

^^^ They barely started Terminator; do you really think a SixFlags park is going to build two coasters at the same time?

I know that CP has good food and a good atmoshpere, but I personally like SFMM way better.
Sure, they have some clones (DejaVu, Batman) and a lot of 'cousins', but the whole collection of rides is amazing. And almost every ride they have has broken or still holds some kind of record (X2, Superman:TE, Tatsu, Riddler's, Revolution, Goliath).

And SFMM fits a ton of rides into really small spaces. And it's open year-round, and tickets are cheaper.

CP is a fantastic park, but I still like SFMM better.

SFMM is getting a family coaster in 2010, we just don't know what. I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed.

Steel Spectrum: Correct me if I am wrong but I believe you said in another thread that if you lived anywhere near Cedar Point, or ever get the chance to go there that it would be a great park. If I am right, than you really cant be passing judgements about what Cedar Point lacks when you have not even been there. Just saying...
