DP but whatever.


After 4 attepts at an immellman i still haven't gotten it right. I'm going to give it one more try and if it still looks like shit, i'll post pics for help. I don't have time to right now to look at some pics (leaving for a little free running) but if anyone who has built an inverted immel. can post a pic and some tips that would be amazing.

Well, i got tired of the immelman so i spent the last week making a station and pre-lift.
I'm trying to set it up for a corkscrew out of the immelmann over the station/brakes.

I didn't do the station roof yet just in case i need to add a lift.

Heres the immelman attempt 4. I think the problem is that it's too fat. what do you guys think?

The way I see it, yes the immlemann is a bit too fat, and the twist is a bit elongated. There are 2 things you could do with it though.

You could take the top of the immlemann, lower it and shorten the twist length as shown (very poorly) here.



Not quite that sharp, but you get the idea.

Or you could leave the top of the immelmann as it is and take this circled part and raise it a bit. Then for the remainder of the twist roughly follow the white splotch-blob-fat line.



It's up to you. The station and pre-lift look really nice though.

If you do what Outerlimits said, the immelmann will look much better. The pre-lift looks really good how it is.

Here's an ok comparison picture. It's definitely too fat. You can see RCF's supports on the inside of it is only just over a gray wide, while yours is two.

The immelmann is definitely too fat on top, in proportion with the rest of it. The twist starts at the right time though, as long as you make it skinnier.

In picture 3, lower the very top of the immlemann and bank it about 45 degrees. Then slowly unbank the rest of the twist and try to make it as fluent as possible. That should help..

it just depends on what condition the train is.
If it is fresh from ebay after beeing at 9 houses with crystalmeth in them they dont work well, if they are fresh from china, cleaned, lubed and weighted they are great working

O.k. i haven't been working on this very much (You can thank FIFA and Xbox for that).
But i have a small update for you guys. the only thing i did on the imellmann was take it back to the point it goes vertical. I've mostly done detailing on the lift and station.
