The title says it all ;D

Well I was browsing Youtube yesterday, and I came across a video advertising a new roller coaster for 2009. And guess what? It happened to be at my local theme park, which is about 15 minutes away. So I checked RCDB, and sure enough, they were building a new roller coaster. It said that construction had alraedy begun, but to my displeasure, there were no photos. So I got in my car, and drove over the park. Once I got there, I whipped out my season passes, and headed straight for the back of the park. I only snapped a few photos from the observation tower...but it seems that they've begun the lift hill. The station also looked really weird/unique...but the construction overseers wouldn't let me take any pics of it.




I'll be heading back to the park again in a little while.

I'm liking the back story. Looks good so far. Only thing I suggest (depending on what kind of invert this is), is maybe make the lift a tad steeper? Whatever you want though, it looks good in my view.

^^^ Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. When I got there today, I asked someone about it and they said that they were still working on the lift a lot. I also took some more pictures, and even got a construction worker to shoot a pic from the bottom of the lift:





Judging from the distance between lift supports, this thing should be massive

^ how do you make those invert chain guides????.... On topic: Great lift so far, but you might want to make a spine or support to go on the back of the X-ties.

Yeah you might want to make a spine for the lift. It helped a lot on ironman. Looks good so far though.

Hmmm... interesting that the workers would install a very gradually curving piece of track on the lift...

Anyways, this looks pretty good so far, and I agree with everyone else: add a spine. Also, when do you think that the "workers" will "let" you take pictures of the station?

^^ They decided not to give it one because they weren't sure if they would need one. After they add the catwalks and do a lot of testing, they'll see if they need one or not.
^^^ I don't right right off the top of my head, but I'll ask them if they can show me what it looks like.

I can start to see the top of the coaster from my house...it looks like they're almost done with the lift! But I didn't bother to take pictures since I couldn't see much.

Well it looks like they're putting the top of the crest on right now. It's smaller than I expected..but the park could use a mid-sized, but good coaster. A coaster doesn't have to be huge to be epic...
